Pastor Ray Renn
Hello, I am Reverend Malcolm “Ray” Renn Jr. I have served as bi-vocational pastor at Vaughan Baptist Church since July 2012. Effective January 1, 2024 I am privileged to become Vaughan’s first full-time pastor.
I am an expository preacher who loves the Word of God and seeing lives changed by it. I enjoy getting to know people and serving the Lord in many ways. I enjoy the slower pace of rural country living, camping, hunting and fishing with my family and working with my hands and farm equipment.
In addition to serving as Pastor I have worked as an automotive technician and began teaching automotive courses at Halifax Community College in July of 2015 through December 2023. I attended Harold L. Wilmington School of the Bible at Liberty University where I obtained a Certificate in Theological Studies.
My family and I moved to the Vaughan community in October 2015 from Henderson, North Carolina. My wife, Jessica serves as a Sunday school teacher and is the Music/Choir Director. Our three sons, Aiden, Tyler and Eli serve as Audio/Visual technicians and ushers. It is a privilege to serve Vaughan Baptist Church and the surrounding area in these capacities
My life verse is: Philippians 4:11 “for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.”
